Bridgeport is part of the Netwealth Advice Group and is owned by the Netwealth Group Limited. Our board of directors are also directors of the Australian Planning Services and  Netwealth Group Limited boards.

Jane Tongs | Chairman

Jane Tongs is the independent Chairman of Netwealth Group Limited and Netwealth Investments Limited.

Prior to 1999, Jane was a partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) specialising in the financial services sector. She has had significant experience with insurance, funds management and superannuation entities. Jane holds a Bachelor of Business degree from RMIT and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Melbourne. Jane is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Cromwell Property Group, Australian Energy Market Operator, Catholic Church Insurances Ltd and Warakirri Asset Management Ltd.

Jane is the chair of the Netwealth Investments Limited Investment Committee and Group Nomination Committee. Jane is also a member of Netwealth’s Group Audit Committee, Group Remuneration Committee, Group Nomination Committee and the Compliance and Risk Management Committees.

Michael Heine | Joint Managing Director

Michael Heine has extensive experience in international financing, mortgage lending and property development through the privately owned Heine Brothers organisation. His involvement in Australian and European financial markets, including commodity trading, and in public unit trusts commenced in 1982 when Heine Investment Management Limited was established. Heine Investment Management Limited was acquired by Mercantile Mutual (now ING) in October 1999 for more than $115 million when it had almost $3 billion funds under management. Michael then proceeded to establish Netwealth Investments Limited of which he is the Joint Managing Director. Netwealth is an investor directed portfolio service operator, superannuation trustee, an operator of managed accounts and managed funds and a provider of self-managed superannuation fund administration services. Netwealth specialises in building its business together with the independent financial planning industry.

Michael is a member of Netwealth’s Group Nomination Committee and Investment Committees.

Matt Heine | Joint Managing Director

Matt Heine commenced with Netwealth Investments Limited in January 2000 and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the business strategy, distribution and marketing of the Netwealth group since that time. As Joint Managing Director he is involved in overseeing all business activity at a board and executive level for Netwealth Group Limited and its subsidiaries which include Bridgeport Financial Services Pty Limited and Pathway Licensee Services Pty Limited. Matt was appointed as Joint Managing Director in 2014. Matt is an Investment Guardian on the popular TV show “The Investment Series”, holds a Diploma of Financial Services, an Advanced Diploma of Management and sits on the Financial Services Council – Superannuation Board Committee.

Matt is a member of the APS Investment Committee.

Davyd Lewis | Director

Davyd Lewis was a partner of Mallesons Stephen Jaques for 20 years until his retirement in 2008. Davyd’s role included Partner in Charge of the Melbourne Centre, Managing Partner Practice of M & A, Property and Construction, National Practice Team Leader of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group and responsible for supervising the relationship with 50 of the firm’s biggest clients. Davyd was awarded a Bachelor of Economics, a Bachelor of Laws and a Masters of Laws (majoring in securities markets and takeovers).

Davyd is Chairman of Netwealth’s Group Remuneration Committee, the Due Diligence Committee, the Compliance and Risk Management Committees and a member of the Group Audit Committee, the Group Remuneration Committee and Group Nomination Committee.

Tim Antonie | Director

Tim Antonie commenced his career at PWC and qualified as a chartered accountant. He subsequently worked at a number of investment banks, including UBS Investment Bank as a Managing Director, where he advised and led major Australian companies in large scale mergers, acquisitions, sales and restructure and equity transactions as well as day to day equity market facing matters.

Tim is a non-executive director of Premier Investments Limited, Village Roadshow Limited and Breville Group Limited.

Tim is the Chairman of Netwealth’s Group Audit Committee and is a member of the Group Remuneration Committee, Group Nomination Committee, the Netwealth Investments Limited Investment Committee and the Compliance and Risk Management Committees.
